Well here we are Chicks, it’s finally December, which means Al has her tree up (yes, she has some rules around how and when that happens- she calls them “traditions”), and Sam is desperately trying to convince Ben that Stanley would look cute in a Burberry Christmas oufit (shocked face emoji).
As we jump headlong into the “Silly Season”, we would love you to take a moment to pause, exhale, and know that you’ve got this. We prefer to call this time of the year the “Sensational Season”, one that is full of laughs, love and lots of gratitude.
You already know we are massive fans of the ‘tude, as we truly believe that taking time every single day to be GREATful for all of the wonderful things we have in our life, builds the base for a life of meaning and joy.
Our structure creates our function, and if we create the framework in our brains to notice the wonder that is all around us, then we will see more and more and more of it. And what’s not to love about that?
If you’ve been joining in with us, then in November you would have cleared out at least one habit/person/thing that wasn’t serving you, so this will serve as the foundation on which to build a castle of magic and fun. (I know I’m loving the three empty shelves in (one of) my bookcases, and I can’t wait to mindfully fill it with new stories that lift me up, instead those dusty ones that were glaring down at me reproachfully. -Al)
This week we would love you to make a decision. A decision to add in a daily practice of gratitude to your day. It can be in the form of a list, a mediation, or a reflection. You can sip a cuppa and look at a lovely flower, or savour a moment of silence. You can sing along with a favourite song, or do the Nutbush.. Whatever you know will helps you taste that slice of joy will do just fine.
The importance is in the ‘tude- an attitude of gratitude.
Let’s do this.
