Fun, according to Webster’s is: something that provides amusement or enjoyment.
We hope last week you had some fun thinking about what makes you laugh, and perhaps even raising the fun stakes with the people around you as you laughed together, and maybe even felt a little more connected. If nothing else, we hope you took a moment to think about what makes you laugh, and considered ways of getting more of that in your life.
Now we know it’s not all just “shits and giggles” (what even IS that saying?), and that there is a time to be serious, reverent, heart-felt and even sad. But we also know, that life is so much richer when even the most gut-wrenching moments are infused with a sense of lightness, and yes, fun.
Often when women tell us they have lost their way, feel overwhelmed, or sense that they aren’t loving life, the thing that underpins these states is that they have forgotten what to do to feel the fun. Perhaps life has knocked them around a bit, or they’ve been subjugating their own needs for so long that they have stopped thinking about fun, and concentrating on just getting through the day (we are saying “they” but we all know we mean “we”). And when we ask these women what small thing they could do right now to reinstate a little fun, they draw a blank.
But that’s not going to be us, is it? We are going to have a whole mental list, ready to go, with things that bring back the fun, lighten our loads, and let the joy come flooding in.
Which brings us to the Week 2 Challenge: This week, we want you to decide what you find fun: it could be a hobby, an activity, a space to spend time.. whatever blows your skirt up. You will get 10 points if you share a vid on the page, and 5 if you simply tell us about it.
