Quick Click #48: As You Emerge

Wow.

What a month, eh? When we started off talking about the Ides of March and Shedding Your Shit, we didn't think we would have an opportunity as big as this. We thought that perhaps a few of you would read our book of the month by John Demartini, and then a couple of you would toddle off to do a Collapse or two (don’t worry- if you haven’t read it, we will chat about it in the Live later today). We didn’t predict this.

If you are familiar with John’s work, you will know that he teaches us that for every perceived negative situation, trait or experience there is a positive one of equal and opposite magnitude, happening AT THE SAME TIME. In this current situation it might be a bit tricky to see that initially, especially when our livelihoods or our freedoms feel vulnerable. And yet, as we look around, we notice this is happening everywhere. People are connecting, being creative, slowing down, becoming grateful, meditating, moving their bodies, enhancing their health, smiling and breathing OUT.

Things that have never happened before are happening (that sound like a Trump quote- Al), and ways of thinking that have never been expressed are evolving. Us chicks are at the precipice of something wondrous if we care to look at both sides of this balanced equation. If we find the love in the unloved parts, and gratitude for the loved parts, as being able to do this brings us back to that point in the middle where light and love reside.

As you work through the positives and negatives of what is going on right now, notice what comes up for you. The more flexible you are with your thinking, and the more you are able to look at both sides and realise they are equal, the more gratitude you can have for the experience. After all, these experiences are the things that give richness and substance and beauty to your life.

At the end of all this we will have an opportunity to go back out into the world, and we will have a choice: do we want to take what we’ve learned and do our lives differently, or do we want to carry on as we were? You can bet your friends, family and clients will be evaluating these very same things, but perhaps subconsciosuly- we want you to do it consciously and with deliberate focus.

This week, take a moment to think what you want to take with you as your emerge from your cocoon. What fresh way of looking at the world will you bring? What permissions will you give yourself to fly?
