Welcome to October: Our month of The New You.
By now you should have received your “gold letter”, which of course this month isn’t a gold letter at all, but an email, with a very special and generous pdf copy of Kelly Exeter’s fantastic book, Practical Perfection (we are so thankful to generous Kelly for gifting this to us. If you’d like the pdf emailed to you, let me know by clicking the link below and I’ll email it to you- Al).
The reason why we wanted you to have your very own copy of our book of the month is that we think Kel succinctly brings together so many of our CWC principles in this easy read. As you know, we are always parping on about having passions, or things that light you up, as well as being able to prioritise and of course GSD. PP will help with some strategies for that.
Our oil to go along with the theme of Renewal is Basil (have you planted your seeds?) which historically was associated with hatred: the Greeks and Romans thought it had to be sown with lots of ranting and swearing (!) which of course sounds fun, but we aren’t sure how well the poor little plants would grow. Thankfully the Italians took over, and basil became the symbol of love, protecting against evil.
This week we would love you to have a look at what you’d like to protect in your life.
For the word renewal is not only about throwing out old patterns that no longer serve you, but also in re-newing the things you actually love about yourself. Creating a New You is not just about bringing in fresh ideas and patterns, but also in reinvigorating some of the things that make you uniquely you.
So take a moment to bask in the beauty of how far you have come, and what values, beliefs and actions have helped you to get here. It might be fun to cast your mind back over your life and notice all of your successes and consider how they happened. We suspect consciously choosing would have played a big part.
So let’s have some fun. It’s time to choose your own adventure…With a sprinkle of basil to help you along.
